The anniversary event of the Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Visual Impairments & Additional Disabilities “SYZOI” took place on Wednesday, March 22nd, in the context of the celebration of its 15 years of operation, at the Municipal Hall of Thessaloniki, under the auspices of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
In the crowded hall “Manolis Anagnostakis”, the event was honored with the presence of Mr. Stavros Kalafatis, Deputy Minister of Interior of Macedonia and Thrace, Mr. Stavros Kalafatis, Regional Governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, Mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr. Konstantinos Zervas, Mayor of Kalamaria, Mr. Yannis Dardamanelis, Vice-Regional Head of Public Health, Ms. Melina Maria Dementzopoulou, Deputy Mayor of Social Policy of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Mr. Ioanna Kosmopoulou, Deputy Mayor of Technical Services of the Municipality of Kalamaria, Mrs. Natalia Pantelidou, as well as dear parents, supporters, sponsors, partners and friends of Syozoi, who were presented through interesting speeches and contributions, the 15-year course and development of the Association, as well as future plans for development and progress in the continuous effort to improve the quality of life of people with visual disorders and additional disabilities.
During the event, the President of the Panhellenic Association AMYMONI, Mrs. Paraskevi Bellou, the Pediatric Ophthalmologist, Dr. Nikola Kozais, Mr. Nikola Allamanis, President of the Panhellenic Association of Tobacco Manufacturing and Trading Companies, Mrs. Lefkothea Mati and Professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Mrs. Eleni Fotiadou. An important moment of the event was the presentation by the President of Syzois, Mr. Nikos Kazantzidis, of the plans of the new Sizois Assisted Living House in Oreokastro, Thessaloniki, which marks the beginning of the realization of another vision of life for parents.
The anniversary event ended with many smiles and a festive atmosphere and with the wishes of all speakers and attendees that SYZOI will continue to offer its important work in the years to come.
