Syzoi, in the context of its cooperation with Social Mellon, was awarded at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards, receiving the “NGO of the Year” award in the category Culture/Sports for the organization of the mountain race “SYZATHLOS”, in an event that rewarded companies that promote the values of Sustainable Business, investing in Sustainable Environmental and Social Development. The award ceremony, which took place on Wednesday 12 July 2023, at the Wine Museum, under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and Investment, the Ministry of Environment and Energy and SEV, was attended by members of the government and executives of the most dynamic business groups and institutions in the country.
The special mountain race “SYZATHLOS”, held in 2022 for the 7th year, is now an institution in the sporting, cultural and social events of Northern Greece and the recognition of the social impact of the event is an honour for Syzoi as more than 1,000 runners of all ages share the common vision for a better tomorrow for children with disabilities, in an activity that aims to cultivate inclusion and promote coexistence and unity.
The collaboration of Syzois with Social Mellon in the context of communicating and highlighting the struggle and its interconnection with society and the business world had in 2022 excellent results, increased participation and visibility and led to the honorary distinction of “NGO of the Year”, making the people of Syzois proud, strengthening their motivation to continue the valuable struggle for people with Visual Impairments and additional disabilities.
